The “social” in Fediverse The fact that the Fediverse as a “social” medium is not much better, sometimes even worse, than Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, etc. should already have become clear in the first part of this series of contributions. Especially with German-language instances and their connections, such as through a Matrix channel, black/white thinking and extremist, populist framing by the political left becomes clearly visible. Here, for example, a group with the name Fedimins seems to have come together, in which insults are also used in the Matrix channel and framing to direct the group into the same mendacity machinery as is already known from hatemongers like Fediblock, which is known to be controlled by hate preachers and defamers like Welshpixie in a dedicated Discord channel for this purpose.
